About HDFC ERGO iCan Cancer Health Insurance

iCan Cancer Insurance plan designed by HDFC ERGO General Insurance is a cancer-specific medical insurance plan. The plan covers medical expenses incurred due to cancer on an indemnity basis. This means that the actual cost of treatments and hospitalisation is covered under the plan. The plan comes in two variants of Essential and Enhance. Enhance variant has two additional coverage options wherein a lump sum portion of the sum insured is paid in case the insured is diagnosed with cancer.

Besides the standard coverage available under the plan, there is also the option of choosing Advanced Plan. Advanced Plan gives additional coverage to the insured for expenses incurred in treating cancer. A medical second opinion is also available under the plan when the insured is first diagnosed with cancer during the policy period. Sum insured levels start at Rs. 5 Lakh and go up to Rs. 50 Lakh.

  • Has the best suggestions

Grateful to InsuranceDekho for the way it guided me throughout the issuance of HDFC Ergo General Insurance’s iCan Cancer plan. When I found out that one of my family members was suffering, it was a challenging time. I wanted to provide the best treatment. I read various cancer-specific plans and compared until I found the best deal.
